As summer comes to Orange County, our weekly event known as Tuesdays with Dana will be at 10:00AM. The new time allows for us to avoid the beach crowds and the heat. As we have been a dedicated group since the Tuesday after Inauguration Day, we will continue to show up to demonstrate our concern for our district, and to hold accountable our member of congress. The work we are doing is having an effect that cannot be dismissed or ignored, however inclined our representative is to try to do so. Our consistency is one of the keys to achieving success, and as we continue to show up, the message will continue to spread about what is happening in the local and national political scene.
Our primary message has been to simply ask to have debate and dialog with our member of congress in a setting that allows us to face our representative, as he faces us, to express our concerns and hear what he has to say on the record about these concerns. As we shift to earlier hours this summer, our message and goal is unchanged. The more we do this, the more we can make clear to the constituents in the 48th congressional district that our congressman Dana Rohrabacher is unwilling to meet with people he represents. Ideally our pressure will be the catalyst, and we will succeed in getting him to meet with us, and we will have an opportunity to express our concerns in a Town Hall setting.
